This course is a hidden gem. At least to me it was until 8/5 which is when I played my first round there. To be honest, I was a little skeptical as to whether or not I should play this course. Previous reviews werenβt great, it had rained the day before and it was a 1/2hr drive for me to get on base Little Creek. Iβm glad that I made the drive!!! There were two or three tee boxes that werenβt in the best shape. Thatβs not a big deal. Fairways were in great/excellent condition AND it had rained the day before. Greens were in good shape. You can tell that management cares about the condition of this course. If you can get on the base, do yourself a favor and play this course!

What in the world!!! The only food on the weekends, Saturday a day of golf, that we could get was a hotdog or hamburger!? I'm stunned. Of course they had all the beer you could drink. Come on, it would have been nice to come in from the massive heat and have a nice lunch. And what makes it so bad? Is that you still provide the menu from, I guess, during the week is everything on it??? I guess long gone are the days when you could have a nice lunch, with friends, at the 19th hole!

The course is in fair to poor shape, at best. Played today and numerous tee boxes on the front nine were ALL dirt. The fairways have many bare spots and overall are in lousy shape. The greens have been punched but with no rain they have not recovered. The driving range is deplorable. 10+ years ago this course was in such better shape in every way...now, it's a ghost of those days. And when I asked about the course condition, the staff tried to minimize the significance and then made excuses...I remember when the tee boxes which today are nothing but dirt, were actually grass tee boxes and the fairways were in good shape. Sadly this course which has so many scenic, challenging and interesting holes, and in many ways is the best course in the area, is now in such bad shape and not likely to be improve in the near future. I miss those grand days of Eagle Haven of the past.

Not kid friendly. Went this past Saturday with my wife and kid. We get in line to start the first hole and the worker that checked us in asked us to wait for the group in front of us to get on the green. After that group gets on the green about 15 minutes later, we begin. We get about half way down the fair way in 5 minutes and he drives down telling us we cant keep playing so slow. Didn't say anything to the group that delayed our start. I offered to let the group behind us play through. I continued to make points about she is a small child and cant hit it super hard. Either way he kicked us off the course. This was the most not family friendly experience I have ever experienced at a base facility.

Some muddy wet spots and standing water in bunkers on a day that had no rain. Other than that, a decent short track for little money. Really can't beat it. Driving range leaves much to be desired and the I didn't see any grounds crew through my entire round. Not sure anyone was on today. Water jugs were all empty and the ball washing stations smell like swamp. Positives: bent grass greens were very receptive to spin and control. Rough cut pretty short and easy to play from. Tee boxes were all in decent shape
